New Jersey Takes Action
Distraction Free Schools New Jersey is part of a coalition of parents, educators, and school administrators united in calling for legislative action and policy changes to address the overuse of smartphones, social media, and School-Tech in New Jersey schools. It is a state team under the Distraction-Free Schools Policy Project, an initiative led by Becca Schmill Foundation and Smartphone Free Childhood U.S.
Right now, our team is focused on getting a bell-to-bell phone-free schools policy enacted in New Jersey. Here's how you can help:

-
Immediate Action Needed: Call the Senate Majority and Assembly Majority offices to express support for the passage of a state-wide, K-12, bell-to-bell phone-free school policy at the December session votes. If you feel comfortable doing so, share a personal experience that has shaped your view on this issue.
